في إطار جهود الهيئة العربية للاستثمار والإنماء الزراعي لتوسيع نطاق استثماراتها الزراعية في مملكة البحرين ولاستكشاف فرص الأعمال المتاحة، قام سعادة الدكتور/ عبيد سيف حمد الزعابي – رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العربية برفقة وفد من الهيئة بزيارة إلى مملكة البحرين، وذلك يوم 17سبتمبر 2024،
حيث التقى سعادة الدكتور/ عبيد سيف حمد الزعابي – رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العربية والوفد المرافق له، سمو الشيخ/ سلمان بن خليفة آل خليفة – وزير المالية والاقتصاد الوطني بمملكة البحرين، بحضور الشيخ عبد الله بن خليفة آل خليفة الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ممتلكات البحرين القابضة وذلك بالمنامة. خلال الزيارة تم بحث ومناقشة واقع وآفاق مجالات التعاون المستقبلية في المشاريع التي تخدم المصالح المشتركة بين الهيئة العربية للاستثمار والإنماء الزراعي ووزارة المالية بمملكة البحرين، وذلك تعزيزا للأمن الغذائي.
من جانبه أكد سمو الشيخ سلمان بن خليفة آل خليفة وزير المالية والاقتصاد الوطني أهمية الدور الذي تلعبه المؤسسات والهيئات العربية في تعزيز التعاون العربي المشترك ودعم مسارات التنمية الاقتصادية في الدول العربية بما يحقق النمو الاقتصادي المنشود، مشيداً بما تقدمه الهيئة العربية للاستثمار والإنماء الزراعي من إسهاماتٍ بارزة في دعم الاستثمار الزراعي من خلال تبني المبادرات والبرامج الإنمائية التي تصب في دعم المشاريع الاستثمارية الطموحة للقطاعات ذات الصلة في الدول العربية، وبما يعزز الأمن الغذائي، ويحقق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
H.E. the Chairman of the Board of Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development Explores Cooperation Opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain
As part of the efforts of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) to expand its agricultural investments in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to explore available business opportunities, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi Chairman of the Board of AAAID, along with a delegation from AAAID, visited the Kingdom of Bahrain on September 17, 2024.
During the visit, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of AAAID, and the accompanying delegation met with H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, in Manama. The visit aimed to discuss and explore the current and future cooperation prospects in projects that serve the mutual interests between AAAID and the Ministry of Finance in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the goal of enhancing food security.
H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, emphasized the importance of the role played by Arab institutions and authorities in strengthening Arab cooperation and supporting economic development pathways in Arab countries to achieve the desired economic growth. He praised the significant contributions of AAAID in supporting agricultural investment through adopting developmental initiatives and programs that support ambitious investment projects in related sectors in Arab countries, thereby enhancing food security and achieving sustainable development goals.
